Introducing The Aurora Series: Color Shift PPF for the Next Generation
At Peak PPF, we pay close attention to where the automotive market is headed, not just where it has been. For years, most color conversations in PPF have centered around current and past OEM-inspired finishes. That is still true today. But we also see a growing interest in finishes that feel more dynamic while still looking right at home on a vehicle. That is what led us to The Aurora Series, our new collection of color shift automotive paint protection film.
Aurora is not just about visual effect. It's about creating a finish that feels forward-looking, refined, and relevant to where tastes are headed.
What is The Aurora Series?
The Aurora series is our color shift PPF collection, built for customers who want premium protection with more visual depth than a traditional solid color film can offer.
Rather than holding one fixed appearance at all times, The Aurora changes depending on lighting, angle, and the body lines of the vehicle. A car may read one way in the shade, another in direct sunlight, and slightly different again as you move around it. That movement gives the finish more dimension without feeling overdone.
This balance matters. Most customers shopping for color PPF are not looking for something completely disconnected from the world and communities they already know. More often, they want a finish that feels polished, intentional, and believable on their car. The Aurora series lets us push forward while staying grounded in that reality.
Six Finishes, One Fresh Perspective
The Aurora series hits dealers with six finishes:
- Aqua Aurora
- Midnight Purple Aurora
- Topaz Gold Aurora
- Sky Pink Aurora
- Ice Blue Aurora
- Chameleon Aurora
Each finish was selected to bring its own character to the collection. Some lean cooler, while others lean warmer. Rather than dramatic color changes, the series is defined by subtle tonal movement and added visual depth under different lighting conditions. Together, the lineup feels cohesive, refined, and varied without feeling repetitive.
Topaz Gold Aurora is a strong example of that direction. It reflects the growing interest in premium, factory-inspired color shift finishes already gaining traction in the a few car circles. We are not chasing novelty for novelty's sake. We are paying attention to where taste is headed and building products that feel premium, usable, and relevant now.
The Happy Accident That Started it All
Like many strong product ideas, The Aurora did not begin as theory. It began with something we saw happen in real time.

Aqua Aurora was discovered almost by accident during installation on a vehicle. What initially looked like one expected color presentation started revealing much more once the film was fully installed. Under different lighting conditions, the wrap shifted in a way that felt more dimensional and more compelling than we originally anticipated.
That moment immediately stood our to our internal R&D team.
Instead of treating it as a one-off surprise, we recognized the opportunity. The film was doing something meaningful. It as changing character depending on the environment, and it was doing it in a way that felt exciting without feeling gimmicky. From there, what started as a happy accident became the foundation for a broader series with real potential.
That origin story says a lot about how we approach development at Peak. We are already testing, always paying attention, and always looking for ways to turn observation into something valuable for the people who choose our films.
The Aurora Series Brings Real Value to the Community
For customers, The Aurora series offers more flexibility within a single finish. Instead of feeling locked into one flat presentation, the wrap reveals subtle variation throughout the day. That alone can make the vehicle feel more dynamic and more engaging over time.
That idea captures the appeal well. Aurora is not about being loud for the sake of it. It is about creating a finish that continues to feel interesting every time you see it.
It also gives dealers and customers a more forgiving answer to one of the most common challenges in color selection: indecisiveness. When a finish carries more than one character, it can make the final choice feel easier and more flexible.
Built for What's Next
Everything we release is shaped by the same belief: innovation only matters if it creates something useful, desirable, and well executed.
That is what The Aurora series represents for us.
It reflects our willingness to push boundaries while staying connected to what the car community actually wants. Aurora expands our lineup without losing sight of the enthusiast who still wants a finish that feels grounded in the automotive world. It is expressive, but still refined. Distinct, but still wearable. New, but still relevant.
As the series makes its way onto more vehicles, we will keep listening to dealers, installers, and the broader community. That feedback matters to us. It shapes what gets refined, what gets expanded, and what is created next. That means The Aurora may continue to grow with additional finishes, and it may even open the door to entirely new collections built around the same philosophy that brought this one to life in the first place.
For us, The Aurora series represents the next generation of what color PPF can be.
